It's all work and no play for birthday girl Jennifer Lopez as she hits 40After turning 40 on Friday, you'd expect Jennifer Lopez to take time out filming her new movie and spend the day celebrating. Instead, the mother-of-two marked her special day dressed-down in a New York hot dog restaurant as she filmed The Back-Up Plan.

Either J.Lo was too busy to take a break from her new romantic comedy or perhaps  was trying to avoid her landmark birthday by throwing herself into work. While Jennifer appeared content to keep her actual birthday low-key, it's been reported her husband Marc Anthony has organised a secret star-studded party in New York on tonight.

Stars including Tom Cruise and Victoria Beckham are rumoured to be flying into the Big Apple to attend the bash at a top secret venue.'Everything is being kept top secret. Even performers won't be told if they have been hired until the last minute, to prevent details of the party from being leaked. 'Organisers are determined to keep the media away.'When asked about her 40th birthday earlier this year, Jennifer appeared reluctant to leave her Thirties.

She told People magazine: 'I don't talk about it. And I don't let Marc talk about it either
Despite her big birthday, Jennifer was far from her usual glamorous self as she slipped into a baggy cashmere sweater, white jeans and scrapped back hair as she ran through her lines with co-star Alex McLoughlin.

For the second day, Jennifer and Alex filmed scenes in a branch of the famous Gray's Papaya hot dog eaterie in Manhattan's West Side.

Jennifer is currently filming her first film in three years, which stars the Latina as Zoe, a woman who becomes pregnant with twins through in-vitro fertilisation, only to meet her dream man on the same day. She has been filming the movie on location in New York since last month and has often been accompanied by her 17-month-old twins Max and Emme.

Jennifer admitted this week she would love to have more children with Marc - who has three other children from previous relationships - but she is unsure if they will be able to. She said: 'I would love to have more kids. I don't know if we will. I don't know if that's in the cards for us. But we'll see.

'(My twins) they're more than walking now, they're starting to talk. I put Max to bed yesterday and I said, "I love you baby. I'll see you tomorrow." And he was like, "I love you."'

Meanwhile, her husband Marc, who wed Jennifer in 2004 just four months after she ended her engagement to Ben Affleck, admitted he told the actress he would marry her when they first met in 1997. At the time, J.Lo was wed to Cuban waiter Ojani Noa, who she split from the following year after 11 months of marriage.

She then went on to have a high-profile relationship with hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs, a nine-month marriage to choreographer Cris Judd and a 18-month engagement to Ben before marrying Marc in June 2004.

He said: 'I was on Broadway. I hadn't met Jennifer before. She was just about to break out.
'As soon as she walked through the door, I probably said the worst thing a guy could tell a girl. I was like, "You're my wife and you don't even know it."

'She was like, "Well that's intense." I told her, "I don't know where that came from." And now she gets it. Now she's my girl.' Earlier this week, the couple put on a public display of affection as Marc was announced as a part-owner of American football team Miami Dolphins. Marc kissed Jennifer onstage before presenting her with a customised Dolphins shirt with her name emblazoned on the back.
