It's only fitting that Kate Middleton would be our Look of the Day on her 30th birthday. She braved the rain at the London War Horse premiere in this Alice by Temperley gown and accessorized it with an umbrella-carrying prince by her side.

The fitted lace number is reminiscent of her legendary McQueen wedding dress with its lace bodice, but mixes in a touch of dark evening elegance. In other words: It is so very Kate—especially paired with her signature curls. A minimalist at heart, she resisted over-accessorizing this timeless design. While normally a pop of color would be welcome (crimson lips or a statement clutch), that's simply not the Duchess' style.
