A bevy of Bollywood beauties turned up in their fashionable best at a recent awards do in Mumbai. Actresses Katrina Kaif, Rekha, Sonakshi Sinha, Minissha Lamba, Isha Koppikar, Riya Sen, Chitrangada and Neha Dhupia were spotted at the gala.
Even the usual fashion offenders were spot on trend. As most fashion fads usually take after red carpet spotting, the girls in the limelight had more than just one look to offer for the festive season.
Katrina chose a floor- sweeping ash pink and nude gown. Staying true to her fresh and youthful style, she chose to pair the ensemble with minimal make- up and went for a restrained look.
Sonakshi took the mature and chic route in an Anita Dongre ensemble. Pairing a rich maroon lehenga with a sheer black anarkali top, the actress's look was rather simple and unpretentious.
In an agreeable change, Sonakshi chose to ditch her usual heavy make-up for an unassuming and modest look. Ditching their usual LBDs and body- hugging minis, actresses Bipasha Basu and Riya Sen looked charming in their respective avatars.
Bipasha opted for a traditional look in a bright yellow sari paired with a fuchsia blouse and a matching big bindi . The dusky diva chose to wear her ensemble minus any jewellery and even tied her hair up in a knot, exuding clean and unpretentious glamour.
Riya was spotted in an elegant Alexander McQueen maxi. The printed white number was pleasing to the eye and gave the Bong bombshell a graceful and stylish makeover.
But it was Chitrangada's bronze and shimmering look that stole the show. The star, who is also the flavour of the season, carried off her black sequinned gown with panache and finesse. Her bronze make- up completed the look which bound to become a rage among the country's fashionistas.
