Actor Shahrukh Khan once mesmerised a generation, young girls in particular, with his debut television serial, ‘Fauji’. This was followed by another successful television show ‘Circus’, directed by noted director and writer Aziz Mirza. Shahrukh remains one of the few actors who made their acting debut on the small screen but went on to achieve huge success in the film industry as well.
It was the success and popularity attained through the quality work done on television which helped Shahrukh make an impression later in films. Especially, his association with Mirza turned out to be an extremely fruitful one and the duo have given us memorable movies like ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman (1992) and Yes Boss (1997). It was no surprise therefore, when Shahrukh launched a television division of his production company, named ‘Red Chillies Idiot Box’.
So far Shahrukh has produced two television shows- the teen musical drama ‘Ishaan’ and a comedy serial titled ‘Ghar Ki Baat Hai’. Now there is a buzz that he is planning to produce two more shows, including a chat show being hosted by his friend Preity Zinta. Way to go SRK!!
