After Aishwarya Rai saw stupendous success with Rajinikanth starrer ‘Endhiran’ (Robot), suddenly all gals yearned to work with the Southern super star. While the rest of the ladies gaped at their misfortunes it was the long-legged damsel Deepika Padukone who landed an offer to play Rajini’s heroine in his next film.

However, Deepika was burning in a dilemma. She had her kitty full with films like ‘Aarakshan’, ‘Desi Boyz’ and ‘Housefull 2’ and didn’t have enough dates to give a nod to the Rajini project. However, now she has bravely sorted out her problem by choosing Rajinikanth over the hunky Akshay Kumar.

Deepika has walked out of ‘Housefull 2’ and apparently green signalled the Rajinikanth film. Producer of ‘Housefull 2’ Sajid Nadiadwala has apparently no problems with Deepika’s decision since he understands her professional dilemma. Akshay Kumar, however, is reportedly a tad miffed with Deepika.

The Rajinikanth film is titled ‘Rana’ and stars the Demi-God in a triple role. The film is being produced by Rajinikanth’s daughter Saundarya and is slated to go on floors soon. Deepika’s decision is likely to earn her a huge number of fans since the craze over Rajinikanth films has heightened after the popularity of ‘Robot.’ After Aishwarya Rai, it’s Deepika’s turn to bask under the sunshine……
